Happy Halloween

This Halloween we were thinking scary. Not cute. Travis didn’t want Annabelle to be the typical “Piglet” or “Ballerina.” No ma'am, scary was our goal.

Since August, Danielle has offered to babysit Annabelle for one of our weekly dates. However, the condition for October’s date included Annabelle being “Uncle Fester” from the Addam’s Family! Annabelle’s bald head and perfectly round face would make for an unforgettable baby fester. However, Mom “conveniently” forgot to bring her long, black wig so I could be Morticia Addams. Needless to say, her ploy to force a cute costume didn’t work.
However, I must say Annabelle is THE CUTEST  baby skeleton I have ever seen!

Our baby skeleton last year! The nurses dressed her up then, but since we couldn't find an official baby skeleton onesie, Travis painted our glow-in-the-dark costumes himself!

Our original plan was to be the "karate kid skeletons," who wear white ski masks. But... our white-tights idea didn't work. Although, it made Annabelle look like a little baby robber! Hilarious!

Annabelle was scared of us at first! Luckily, after some sweet talk she realized it was us:)

Now that is one creepy Momma!

Still our baby girl:)

Danielle & Alyssa as "gangstas"

The Clown Family: Tyson, Amber, & Kelti

Cameron (Travis' little brother) was a Transformer! He would get down until our candy-giver looked really confused, then transform! It was seriously creative:)

Trick-or-Treat! The guy on the left is a real person handing out candy!

Halloween was a blast this year! We met up with Danielle & Alyssa; then headed over to the Tolman’s to Trick-or-Treat. Obviously, Annabelle doesn’t get the concept, but she sure comes in handy for getting candy! After an overload of sugar, we did a glow-in-the-dark “skeleton dance” in the basement for the crew. It looked like our "bones" were floating! Annabelle looked just adorable dancing around too.

23rd Birthday!

Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who made turning 23 wonderful:)
Texas Roadhouse Dinner
A Fun & Relaxed Day:
-Annabelle slept til' 9 a.m. (Best present a baby girl could give!)
-Danielle brought me breakfast: Pumpkin Cream Cheese Einstein Bagel- Yum!
-By 9:30 a.m. I had over 20 birthday wishes on Facebook & 13 texts (ya gotta love the little reminder in the corner)
-I opened birthday presents and cards from family and friends:)
-Danielle & Travis blindfolded me and we went to see "The Help"- Such an amazing movie- I cried twice.
-Trav took me to eat at good ole' Texas Roadhouse
-Surprise visit from Keith & Aubrey with birthday shopping money in hand:) Keith's card made us laugh. It said, "Two pieces of birthday advice: 1. Forget about the past. You can't change it. 2. Forget about the present. I didn't get you one!"

I know this movie has been out for awhile.. but Trav & I are fiercely loyal to dollar movies!
So, I'll admit it... We are so cheap!
However, Danielle paid since it was a special occasion:)

Large "gumbo pot" from mother-in-law & red TOMS from Travis:)

Holiday baking is about to begin! Thanks Mom & Pops:)

Thanks again and Happy 23rd,
